MINUTES OF THE CRISP COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
CALLED MEETING HELD ON MARCH 26, 2012
Chairman Wallace Mathis called the meeting to order with Commissioners James D. Harris, Authur James Nance, William Culpepper, and Clark Henderson in attendance. Also present was Secretary Linda Finch. Mr. Henderson gave the invocation
APPROVE PROCLAMATION IN RECOGNITION OF MRS. CELESTINE KIMBALL
Mr. Nance reported that Mrs. Celestine Kimball is going to be celebrating her 100th birthday on April 14, 2012. She graduated with a degree in education and taught for 36-years in the school system and was also a part-time nurse at the hospital. Her family wants to honor her on her birthday, and Mr. Nance had received the information from her family for the proclamation. Motion was made by Mr. Nance to approve a Proclamation for Mrs. Celestine Kimball with a couple of small changes, seconded by Mr. Culpepper, motion carried unanimously.
GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion was made by Mr. Nance to go into Executives Session to discuss potential litigation, real estate, and personnel, seconded by Mr. Culpepper, motion carried unanimously.
COME OUT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion was made by Mr. Harris to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Mr. Henderson, motion carried unanimously.
READVERTISE FOR COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR
Motion was made by Mr. Henderson to close out the application process for County Administrator since none of the applicants have a majority of the votes, re-advertise, and post the ad on the ACCG website and the Crisp County website, process to begin Monday, April 2, 2012, close out the advertisements on Monday, April 23, 2012, and interview applicants from May 1 - 5, with a possible work session on May 7th, seconded by Mr. Culpepper, motion carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Mr. Culpepper to adjourn the meeting at 7:18 p.m., seconded by Mr. Nance, motion carried unanimously.
